As a new agent for Caribbean Holidays, I expected to be on the usual FAM trip with the average service you get at most of these "all inclusive" destinations. However, I have to admit this was one of my best experiences! You weren't kidding when you said you were going to make things easy for us. When I booked the trip the process was seamless. Once we arriv3ed to RIU you gave me space to enjoy, but always came around to check that things were going well.
Now to the property .... very impressive. The lobby blows you away the moment you walk in.. The staff were on point, and the food and drinks were great! I enjoyed the layout of the pools and the beach, but hope they can repair some of the erosion from the hurricane. Also, it would have been nice to exchange American dollars at the desk. All in all, it didn't dissuade from my experience. I had a fantastic time and look forward to continuing my business with Caribbean Holidays.
The hotel gets an A+ in my book, and I will easily recommend this hotel to my clients. By the way, when can we take our next FAM Trip!

Hi George,
Wanted to let you know what a fabulous time myself, husband and another couple had in May at the Riu Bavaro Palace in Punta Canta. We happened to have a full ocean view room in the main lobby building on the 3rd floor. Having the elevators made the 3rd floor a true joy with the breathtaking views of the water features, palm trees and that �oh so magical� Caribbean water. The balconies had a clear glass for the protective railing making that view even more easy on the eye. Even with the elevators after the abundance of outstanding food that we consumed, we usually felt compelled to take the stairs. The buffet was the best food I�ve ever had at an all inclusive. It was so good that we wanted to go every night instead of returning to the specialty restaurants. Our favorite specialty restaurant, however, was the Japanese. The Italian and Steakhouse were good also but we were nonetheless unwillingly drawn back to the buffet. The house wines were very good � my particular favorites being the red and the rose�. Pool service at the pool and pool bar was outstanding � plenty of alcohol in the cocktails. Concierge was a miracle worker and always on standby to help in any way they could. The free wifi in the lobby was reliable and conveniently located next to the Cappuccino/Tea/Bakery bar and cocktail bar area. I liked the fact that even though we were part of the enormous Riu complex, our particular area at the Bavaro seemed smaller and more intimate. Walking from the lobby to the beach to the pool to the restaurant was effortless. That being said, if we wanted to �venture� off, we had the guest privileges of going to any of the other 5 resorts. My girlfriend and I took advantage of the Renova Spa by getting a massage and a facial. Their facilities are outstanding as were the services. They have a huge sauna area that is complimentary � gigantic hot tub, dry and steam sauna. You feel like the Queen of the Nile when you use it because no one is ever there � fabulous! The only slightly negative comment would be that it was sort of a shocker to walk in and see all of the contemporary colors and d�r � it was like going to a Manhattan hotel on the Caribbean. It must have been designed with good feng shui, however, because by the end of the trip it had grown on me. There is also a convenient shopping strip of quaint little shops (in the middle of the Riu complex) that were open to negotiating and had reasonably good prices to begin with. Thank you Caribbean Escapes for recommending and handling all of the arrangements for this outstanding property. I will definitely choose it over any of the others when making suggestions to my Punta Cana clients.

The hotel that George recommended, Grand Paradise Bavaro, was exceptional and Vicky made sure all our reservations were taken care of. As well had many pools and a great beach area - spent the days either lounging in the sun or going for some great spa treatments. I cannot express strongly enough our complete satisfaction with the Riu Bavaro. Everything was to perfection. Our rooms were spotless with lots of thought to details, excellent housekeeping. The dining areas were spacious, beautifully decorated and the food fresh and scrumptious, with a wide variety of dining choices available. We all absolutely loved the interesting pool which was beachside. What a treat it was to swim with that breathtaking view of the ocean and palm trees.
The staff was attentive throughout our entire stay, ready at our beck and call. We joined in the many activities like the water aerobics, volleyball, kayaking, snorkeling to name a few. We were delighted to watch the cabaret performance under the stars and watch the fire dancers on the beach in the evening. Even the sports bar was a treat with fresh fruit and snacks available 24hrs., pool table and games.
There was something for everyone at the Riu Bavaro and I came back raving about our stay there. It was very sad to leave �Paradise� behind, but we look forward to re visiting with more of our friends in the near future.

I am a home-based travel agent with my own TRUE number and wanted to find a tour wholesaler/agency that would work with me and my many demands.
I was able to find this with the Caribbean Escape travel staff. Being home-based with no staff, the staff of Caribbean Escape were very helpful with the planning of the entire "Hall Milestone Birthday" trip to Punta Cana DR Aug 4-8, 2011.
We ran into a few small problems while there, but George and Vicky were right on top of all the issues. George even provided his personal cell number to make sure I could reach him with any issues.
Both George and Vicky were very professional in their handling of any issues that arose while on the trip. The group received A1 treatment from the Riu Palace Punta Cana Staff (many thanks to the banquet manager Magnolia and the staff that decorated the rooms of the birthday ladies) and airport transfer company.
I am now planning my next group trip to Aruba May 2012 with George and Vicky and look forward to the same great service.

We've returned from the Ocean Blue Resort Punta Cana FAM trip . We had a great time and thought as the tour operator you might want our feedback as travel agents:
We were in villa #6, but NOT on the 3rd floor facing the sea as promised. Instead they assigned us to room 6302 on the 2nd floor facing the pool.
The Ocean Blue Resort is beautiful and has a lot of potential: Location & beach is superb, entertainment surprisingly better than Iberostar and Sunscape the Beach. Their house wine was very good and the bartenders actually knew what they were doing. The restuarants were not memorable but the daily champagne & fresh crepe breakfast was an absolutely wonderful touch. With some improvements this property would be an excellent value.

Just a note to let you know waht a wonderful time my daughter and I had in Cabo. The Riu Palace was absolutely fabulous and stunningly beautiful. I highly revcommend the Krystal and Japanese resturaunts. The lobby bar has a bartender with a great singing voice and sense of humor. His name is Luis and he works from 7 to 3.The service was outstanding and very friendly. We celebrated my daugheter's 18th birthday at Krystal with special cake with candles that wouldn't blow out and champagne! What great memories We felt totally safe going into town and we got some great deals at one of the Hernandez Jewelry shops. Anyone looking for a great deal on fine jewelry should check them out.
Only one word of waning...do not talk to anyone at the airport. They are all time share people who try to take up your vacation with lures of freebies. Otherwise if you go to Cabo and stay at the Riu Palace, you're guarenteed a great time!

We have recently returned from a fabulous group vacation to Costa Rica. On our arrival we were welcomed by our travel guide who added interesting history and cultural information through out the trip. The transportation to our resorts were in air condition buses with plenty of comforts; on one commute, we were able to watch a movie on the DVD player. We stayed at 2 excellent resorts; the first was PARADISUS PLAYA CONCHAL Hotel, a 5 star inclusive resort. The food, service and activities available were outstanding and accommodated single, couples and families alike. I would highly recommend this facility. Our second resort stay was at the 5 star ARENAL TABACON GRAND SPA THERMAL RESORT. It required a bus ride to the higher elevations toward the volcano area, you could see the change in the eco system as you rode, which gave you the feeling of being in a jungle as you looked around; every plant was giant size! The hot water falls and pools exceeded my imagination, they were spectacular. Some members of our group took a trip repelling down the mountains through the water falls; something I want to go back and do. This resort was a bit further away from the airport and required a twisting ride to and from, but was worth the trek. Overall, it was one of the most fun vacations I have ever been on. Thanks Caribbean Escape for helping put together this memorable trip!

The resort GRAND BAHIA PRINCIPE, GOLDEN CLUB in Punta Cana was absolutely wonderful. I don't have enough words to express how wonderful the staff was. The only issue that we ran into was that we had to pay a $10 tax to get into the country. We were told that typically it is already added into your package when you book through tour companies. We didn't know to expect it or what we were paying, so it threw us for a loop. Later into the trip we were also told that we had to pay a $20 exit fee. Once we arrived back at the airport and went through customs, we were not charged. We were relieved. For future if you have clients going to countries like that, I would recommend letting them know ahead of time or charging the fee in the price so they don't have to worry about it once they get there. They are not so friendly at customs when you are asking them to explain what you are paying. Thanks. Tarona Guy
